15 Day Book Blogger Challenge | Day 2

15-Day-ChallengeI’ve seen this challenge, originated at Good Books and Good Wine, making the rounds on a few of my favorite blogs, and it looked fun, so I thought I’d give it a shot! I’ll be taking this one slow, so my answers will be spread out over the course of a few weeks.

 

What’s your bedtime reading ritual?

Unorthodox, like every other ritual or organizational method I have.

    1. Drink a cup of coffee. Y’know. So I can stay up late to read.
    2. Grab my ereader or book of choice–plus my tablet, blog binder, and a pencil for note-taking.
    3. Climb into bed and read.
    4. Read longer than originally intended. Much longer.
    5. Get up to floss, brush my teeth, and wash my face before I’m too tired to do so.
    6. Decide it won’t hurt to read one more chapter.
    7. Finally decide–at 2 or 3 in the morning–that it’s time to go to sleep.

Are you guilty of staying up reading until the wee hours of the morning?

    Hey Sam,
    I am horrible at reading in bed unless I’ really overtired and restless. I always seem to fall asleep, ipad right in my face until it drops to the floor.
    Can’t wait to see your post on Dewey’s #readathon. There are like 10 more hours until the official Start time.

      Sharlene, I can relate! It’s even worse when you’re reading on an ereader/tablet/iPad and accidentally flip pages on the touchscreen while you’re half asleep, waking up to a page nowhere near where you left off!
